Wedding planning doesn't stop just because the business day is over. For that reason, the Internet is your best friend if you're planning a wedding in Atlantic City or other South Jersey locations. Using a combination of local and national Web sites, you can get a fair amount of research done during nights, weekends and early mornings.

• When using the Internet, keep focused on your task. While it's fun to post wedding planning updates to your Facebook account, do your best to avoid distractions to maximize your time.
• Make a list of potential vendors and resources and take down notes (or print out pictures from their Web sites to help you remember what you liked or didn't like about them).
• When you need a break, do use social media. Twitter and Facebook contacts are helpful for personal recommendations, which are infinitely more valuable. Also, posting a message on Twitter will allow the vendors to come to you, likely through direct message.
